Objective
Mandatory knowledge – Soil and groundwater pollution, contaminated site management [assessment and remediation including in depth knowledge of remediation technology (in-situ and ex-situ)], Phase I-II Environmental Site Assessment (ESAs) Standards, International Finance Corporation (IFC) general and sector specific performance standards and guidance notes, Indian Regulatory requirements and other similar environmental safeguard policies/ procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Techno-commercial proposal writing.
- Site work service provider engagement assistance.
- Site reconnaissance.
- Supervision of sub-surface utility clearance at site prior to soil-groundwater quality monitoring intrusive investigation.
- Supervision of soil-groundwater quality monitoring intrusive investigation.
- Supervision of topographical and top of casing surveys for groundwater flow direction establishment.
- Knowledge of field equipment operation – portable X-Ray Fluorescence equipment, portable photo-ionization detector, portable multi-parameter (pH, EC, TDS, DO and ORP) meter, water level meter (regular and oil-water interface) and on-site and off-site calibration of all equipment.
- Knowledge of soil-groundwater quality analysis result screening w.r.t. Indian guideline/ standard, Dutch remediation circular, and/ or USEPA Preliminary Remediation Goals (PRGs).
- Coordination with internal team (environmental, geological, GIS, etc.) for proposal, work planning including health and safety, site work, and final report writing.
- EDD per International Finance Corporation (IFC) and other standards.
- Final report writing (ESA, EDD, remediation action plan and project execution).
