Objective

Responsible for implementing and maintaining IND AS policies and procedures, providing guidance on complex accounting matters, and ensuring accurate and transparent financial reporting

Job description

  • Techno-commercial proposal writing.
  • Site work service provider engagement assistance.
  • Site reconnaissance.
  • Supervision of sub-surface utility clearance at site prior to soil-groundwater quality monitoring intrusive investigation.
  • Supervision of soil-groundwater quality monitoring intrusive investigation.
  • Supervision of topographical and top of casing surveys for groundwater flow direction establishment.
  • Knowledge of field equipment operation – portable X-Ray Fluorescence equipment, portable photo-ionization detector, portable multi-parameter (pH, EC, TDS, DO and ORP) meter, water level meter (regular and oil-water interface) and on-site and off-site calibration of all equipment.
  • Knowledge of soil-groundwater quality analysis result screening w.r.t. Indian guideline/ standard, Dutch remediation circular, and/ or USEPA Preliminary Remediation Goals (PRGs).
  • Draft report writing (ESA).

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review technical accounting, financial reporting, and auditing memorandums, including analysis of complex accounting matters.

  • Evaluate and determine the appropriate accounting treatment for complex financial instruments in accordance with applicable accounting standards.

  • Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with Ind AS and applicable financial reporting requirements.

  • Supervise, guide, and prepare consolidated and separate financial statements under Ind AS, IFRS, and US GAAP.

  • Develop, review, and implement accounting policies and procedures aligned with Ind AS and other applicable financial reporting frameworks.

  • Assess and advise on the accounting treatment of significant contracts and complex transactions, including revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, and other critical accounting areas.

  • Provide technical guidance and clarification on Ind AS matters, ensuring consistent interpretation and application of accounting standards across financial reporting engagements.

Mandatory knowledge

  • Soil and groundwater pollution, contaminated site management (assessment and remediation overview) and Phase I-II Environmental Site Assessment (ESAs) Standards.
